Law School applicants must register for and take the Law School Admission Test (LSAT), administered by the Law School Admission Council (LSAC), and register with the Credential Assembly Service (CAS). The University of Michigan Law School does not accept the GRE in lieu of the LSAT. During our 2018-19 admissions season, the LSAT is offered six times: in June, July, September, November, January, and March. (The test will also be offered in June and July 2019; later dates have not yet been scheduled as of June 2018.) We recommend that applicants take the test by November of the calendar year prior to the year in which admission is sought. For example, applicants to Michigan’s entering class of 2019 are best-served by taking the LSAT no later than November 2018. Applicants who submit scores from the January 2019 test may hinder their chances of admission because their applications will not be completed until late in our cycle. During the 2018�C2019 admissions season, applicants must submit a score from the June 2013 test or later.
