If you are an international applicant from a country whose primary language is not English, you must take the TOEFL. The minimum, acceptable score is an 88 IBT. The University of South Carolina requires a score of at least 570 paper-based / 230 computer-based for admission to the university. The admissions committee likes to see a total score of 100 and above, and a speaking sub score of 24 and above.
The department will also accept the IELTS. The minimum score is a 7. We will accept either official scores sent to us by the testing agency or copies of the scores that you received.
