1.Arrange for the submission of official Graduate Record Examination (GRE) General Test scores. The scores reported must result from a test taken within the last five years. To expedite the review process, you may also upload preliminary (unofficial) scores, if available. 2.Applicants who hold a PhD, J.D., M.D. or other doctoral degree are not required to submit GRE scores. 3.The admissions committee considers all facets of an application before making admissions decisions. There are no minimum scores for admission to our department. Our admissions policy is highly selective. It is our past experience that students with scores higher than 90 percentile in the GRE verbal and quantitative, 4 points or higher in the GRE analytical writing, in the upper 10% of their graduating class, and an IBT TOEFL score exceeding 95, with a minimum of 23 on the Speaking section, are more competitive. Depending on the students' demonstrated skills, there are always exceptions to these guidelines.
