Indian Buddhism

This course is to give a brief introduction to the basic knowledge about the history of Indian Buddhism which has an important effect in the world culture development. The course is mainly to narrate Buddhist emergence , spread history, literature, main branches,and philosophy thinking, etc. The teaching aim of the course is to help the students to have a general understanding of Indian Buddhism, and grasp Buddhist cultural core and marrow,so as to lay a foundation for their further study or research of Buddhism,and to raise their humanistic literacy.
