History of China Religions

This course is designed to give undergraduate students a general introduction to Chinese religious thought, and to explain the religious belief hidden in the daily life of Chinese people. It is different from the courses like the history of Chinese philosophy or the history of Chinese Buddhism and Taoism. In this course we will try to find out the basic religious ideas or elements from the real life and behaviors in Chinese Confucianism, Buddhism and Taoism, and construct the coherent tradition of Chinese religion.
